International scientific conference “Medieval archaeology of the Russian Far East: problems of historical and cultural heritage preservation in this region”

Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of Peoples of the Far East FEBRAS arranges International scientific conferencein Vladivostokon 20th- 22th of September 2013. Theme of the conference: “Medieval archaeology of the Russian Far East: problems of historical and cultural heritage preservation in this region”. The conference is devoted to 50th Anniversary of the Shaiga ancient site’s excavations.

The conference will work by following directions:

• The Russian Far East and neighboring regions of Asia in ancient and medieval epochs
• Medieval cities of the Far East and formation of its culture
• The latest archaeological discoveries in the Far East and neighboring regions of Asia
• Cultural heritage preservation in the Far East: the current situation and ways of problem solving

It is required to apply for participation in the conference until November 1th 2012 Application for participation in the conference is to contain:

4. Field of scientific research
5. Theme of report

Materials of the conference will be published in the collection of articles “Medieval antiquities of Primorye” Vol.3
