On May 21, 2018, the meeting of the Amur Branch of the Russian Historical Society was held at Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University. It was dedicated to teaching History in higher education.

The Russian office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation published the analytical report “The New Silk Road and the Future of Regional Cooperation”. This report was presented at the similar international conference last year.

On May 21, 2018, the international seminar “Strategic Cooperation of Russia and China as a Part of “the Silk Road Economic Belt” and “the Eurasian Economic Union” was held at the conference hall of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, FEB RAS.

A new monograph of the members of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies was released. The monograph “Index of Regional Tension. Northeast Asia 2017” is available in the section Online publications.

A joint exhibition of Arseniev State Museum of Primorsky Region and the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, FEB RAS opened in the Main Building (20 Svetlanskaya Street). It is devoted to the Bohai Kingdom – one of the most mysterious chapters of the history of Primorye.

On April 25-26, 2018, the 16th All-Russian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists with International Participation “Russia in the Asia-Pacific Region: Current Issues of Complex Social Research” was held at the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, FEB RAS.
