On October 2, 2014 at the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East FEBRAS held an international scientific-practical conference “Integration potential public diplomacy in regional relations”. The organizers of the event were the Institute of History and Primorsky branch of the Society of Russian-Chinese friendship with the support of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai.

On September 9-14, 2014 in Vladivostok hosted the international conference “Altaic Studies in Interdisciplinary Research”. The honor of hosting such a high level conference was provided by the international community of scholars to the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, as chief scientific research center of the peoples of the Far East, the President of the Conference PIAC-57 was elected Dr, Professor Olga Dyakova.

On May 18, 2012 a round-table meeting on “China factor in the development of Pacific Russia in the early 21st century” was held in the conference hall of the Institute. The objective of the meeting was to define the position and role of China in the development of Pacific Russia at the contemporary period.
