On March 1, 2019, the press conference dedicated to the position of the Ainu organizations in Japan on the bill of the Japanese parliament “Decree on Advancement of Measures for Creating the Society Where the Ainu People Are Respected” was held in the “Foreign Correspondents’ Club” in Tokyo.
On March 1, 2019, the discussion “What Do We Mean When We Speak about Values: Modern Сriticism of Axiological Awareness” was held at the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The moderator of the discussion was Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Victor Larin.
On February 27-28, 2019, the negotiations between North Korean Chairman Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump were held in Hanoi. It was the second summit meeting between the leaders of two earlier irreconcilable states (the first summit was conducted in Singapore in June 2018). There were many expectations from this meeting as both sides were interested in its success.
The monograph summarizes the studies of the Sinel’nikovo-1 Mountain Fortress in the Maritime Province of Russia, which were conducted in the 1990s and in 2015-2016 by archaeologists of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East together with Japanese and Korean colleagues.
On December 17, 2018, the International Seminar “Russian Emigration in China” was held at the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East. The scientists of the Institute of World History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Beijing) and the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, FEB RAS participated in the seminar.

On November 20, 2018, a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) visited the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, FEB RAS. The delegation consisted of the scientists of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, the Institute of World Economics and Politics and the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
