November 20, 2014 at the Institute hosted a round table “Authority and Chinese business in the Far East: Problems of Interaction”, organized by the Department of International Relations and Security, supported by a grant RHSF (No. 14-31-01253, “The State and the Chinese capital in the south of the Russian Far East (1987-2013,)”.

November 25, 2014 at the Institute of history, archaeology and ethnography FEB RAS held a round table on the theme “Culture of the Russian Far East in the space of the Asia-Pacific region: the gender dimension”, organized by the center of the history of culture and intercultural communication.

November 13, 2014 at the Institute of history held a round table on the theme “Arctic in contemporary world politics: role and place in the foreign policy of Pacific countries”. The purpose of the roundtable was analysis of the official Arctic strategies of Asia-Pacific States, the identification of similar items in the programs and differences, explore opportunities for international cooperation and ways of overcoming contradictions in the Arctic zone.

Estimation of a vector of social transformation on the example of Primorsky Krai (1985 – 2014)” the grant of the Presidium of RAS № 12-III-a-11-219 “Primorsky Krai: the modernization potential of the region in the light of the outcomes of social transformation (1985 – 2010)”. On October 2, 2014 at the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East FEBRAS held an international scientific-practical conference “Integration potential public diplomacy in regional relations”. The organizers of the event were the Institute of History and Primorsky branch of the Society of Russian-Chinese friendship with the support of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai.

On September 9-14, 2014 in Vladivostok hosted the international conference “Altaic Studies in Interdisciplinary Research”. The honor of hosting such a high level conference was provided by the international community of scholars to the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, as chief scientific research center of the peoples of the Far East, the President of the Conference PIAC-57 was elected Dr, Professor Olga Dyakova.
